Fuel pick up issue

I have "run out of gas" in my New Holland EC35 mini ex.

Yeah I know, "AIN'T GOT NO GAS IN IT!"

Fuel gauge shows over 1/2 tank, confirmed visually.
Electric fuel pump running, no visual fuel in filter.
Add about a gallon of diesel, electric fuel pump picks up fuel, can see in filter now.
Crank a bit longer than normal, but fired right up.

The parts diagram shows tank connection s.

Anyone know how to get to them?

I didn't see a parts diagram but, if the pickup is mounted on top of the fuel tank, there is probably a line sticking down inside the tank. Often there is a filter/fitting at the bottom of that line. The pickup hose has probably come apart above the "normal" pickup.

I understand the issue, was looking to get to the connections at the top of the tank.
I'll just have to start unfolding things starting with the seat support.

In case I forget.
The attachments to the tank are in the engine compartment just behind the radiator and the engine.
Had to remove air cleaner and hoses, loosen and move alternator.
Long extension with modified sensor socket.
The thin walled metallic tube (11 7/8" long) was split from stem to stearn.
The tube is the same ID as a 1/2 inch copper coupler.
Made new tube from 1/2"copper pipe with couplers soldered on.
