green ym2000, buddy let fuel get low and tractor stalled out, filled tank with fuel tractor would fire up run 10 seconds then stall out, did this 3 times now wont start at all. I changed the fuel filter and bled the lines at the lower metal fuel lines going into the injector pump, let bubble until it was no air just fuel coming out, still nothing.
I loosened the nuts at the injectors but no fuel flowed out so...

2 questions
1. Will fuel flow out the injectors on top of the engine if I loosen the nut or will we have to turn the engine to pump the air out?

2. How would I diagnose a bad injector pump?

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

You went part of the way through the bleed process. You need to break the line loose at the closest injector to the injector pump crank the engine a bit til there is no air in the fuel and tighten the fitting back up. Then move to the next and do the same till you have bled them all. Then try to start the tractor.

Try this first: Bleed the bleeder on top of the fuel filter nearest the fuel tank, then the one next to it on the output side of the filter, then the bleeder at the fuel pump inlet. It shouldn't be necessary to bleed at the injectors.

That is what I've seen recommended here by the experienced dealers, what is in the manual, and it has always worked for me .... (don't ask... :)).

Thanks for the help, finally got her running.

I was getting fuel to the pump, from there it was nothing, ended up having to lightly tap the pump with a rubber hammer while turning the ignition and it started pumping. I had to loosen the top injector bolts to get the last bit of air out.
