my fuel gauge is built into the fuel tank cap. I don't know if this set up will work on your 2700 or not. Mabe someone that sells parts will know

JD 950 ( yanmar made ) has a sender in the tank and a gage on the dash. That said, think you would need the tank, sender, and gage from a 950,1050 IF it would fit. Lots of trouble. I'd go with the in cap gage if you can. I have one in my YM 3000 ( in the cap type ) and it does give you some idea how much fuel you have. In the dash type could run lots of bucks and lots of trouble with the install if it would fit. Don't think you could just cut a hole in the existing tank and get the sender to seal again.

Just put a post it on the dash to remind yourself to check the fuel
