Ok so today i was out brush hogging and i was almost out fuel according to the gauge and i worked for at least another hr before i finished and went to fill the tank full and i still had 2 gallons left. And the gauge was past the red line on the E. Anybody have this issue and a fix?

Thank

On my bx2360 it will stay on full for hours. At or about 2500rps it will use ,6-.75 gal's per hr. At the end of the day I always top it off. Don't think I'll ever use it enough in one day to run it empty.

The only time a fuel gauge has to be accurate is if you run out of fuel and it reads empty!

Had a new BX2660 and the fuel gauge was never accurate. Didn't bother me enough to have it replaced, just replaced the tractor.:D.

My L2800 - is half empty when the gauge goes in the red  why have a 9 gallon tank when the gauge only works for 4 of them?!?!?! Also wondering if anyone has fixed it...

The fuel gauge on our B2910 always worked fine (more or less accurate) until I removed the flexible retaining ring/gasket that holds the rubber cup inside the fuel cap. Somehow or another the retaining ring/gasket had come out of place and was damaged/deformed by screwing the cap on ....

With retaining ring/gasket removed, there is always a vacuum on the tank when I go to open it ..... and the fuel gauge stays stuck on whatever reading it was at the last time it was opened, until you open it again.

Yes, the float is in the tank.

My Massey will run out of fuel, at 1/2 tank, if my tractor is tilted to the right in my yard( guess how I found that out)..........I live on a slope, so when guage gets below 3/4 tank........I consider filling it.

New L3200, tank still has 4.5 gallons out of 10 when the gauge hits empty. the gauge continues to drop well past the empty mark, (about 1/4 of an inch) and still has more than 2 gallons in it. Havent had the nerve to go much further than that.
