Fuel filter replacement Ford 1900 seal?

Hi,

Replacing all oils, filters (or cleaning them).
Does anyone remember if there is a seal to replace when you change the diesel filter. I bought my filter from Ford here in Sweden, but no seal supplied.
When I dismounted the plastic sup no seal "fell" down. But if I feel with my finger on the upper part of where the plastic cup will mount I actuall can feel something "rubberish"......

Does any one know if there should be a seal or if the plastic will just "seal" against the metal?
