fuel filter clean/change for b2920

When I did the filter cleaning on my B3030, I didn't use plastic over the fuel tank opening. With the tank at less than 1/2 full, I still lost over a pint. No problem: with that pint of diesel and the kerosene I used to clean the filter and bowl, I had a nice way to start a fire in my fire pit.

B2320-- Unscrew filter bowl, remove old filter, clean, install new filter and new o-rings, start and check for leaks. Takes about 3 minutes, tractor starts right up and runs smooth.

my L3130GST has a fuel shut off valve at the fuel filter--piece o cake!!!

Yep, would be nice to have but not the case with the B2920

Some of the earlier posts did not mention replacing the filter but cleaning it.
I tried that but if you're going to the bother then you might as well put in a new filter.
After my first try and cleaning the filter with kerosene I would get a hesitation at different rpm's but more at low idle. I figured it was the filter.
I put in a new one and had no problems and the tractor is running fine now.
So my advice is change the filter then there is no wondering if you should've or not.

I agree. Cleaning fuel filters is a waste of time unless we are discussing a metallic screen type element in a primary water separator.
