Front wheel Torque on the studs

I bought a used BX25D back in the spring, and both front tires are slow leakers. Every 2 1/2 or 3 weeks, both are low. I tolerated it all summer, and inflated when necessary, but I'm tired of that routine. I pulled the tires today, and hope to have them re-beaded tomorrow at my local Tire-Warehouse. My Question is, What is the proper Torque to be applied to the studs when re-installing? I thought I read somewhere it was 68 FT/LBS, but I'll be darned if I can find it again? If anyone has that info, I would really appreciate a reply. Thanks, Tom

68 foot pounds sounds awfully low to me. I suggest going on line to find an owners' manual or check with your local Kubota dealer.

That sound a lot better. The torque on my M6040 is more - 192 to 244 foot pounds - but much larger front wheels also.

I use Blue LokTite on ALL my wheel bolts/nuts. You might want to consider this.

Thanks for all the replies. I was obviously remembering something other than front wheel torque with the 68 ft/lbs figure.

The OE manual on my 2009 BX2660 states the 110 - 132 FT lbs as seen above for front wheel torque.

If you do loader work, make sure you have those fronts properly torqued, and then check them after about 10-15 hours of use to make sure they stay put.
