Getting ready to finally tackle the repair on Wednesday. I thought I'd post before and after pics.....

Good Luck, you can do it. You might consider plenty of "during" photos too. They can come in handy during re-assembly.

I would highly recommend you only repair one side at a time. You can then dissassemble the second side if you start questioning which way something goes back together. None of these parts are Yanmar specific. A good bearing store will be able to order them. You just need to take a good sample in for them to measure.

I completed both sides. It was a lot easier than I expected. I was a little supprised on the one side when I drove out the bolt tightening the pitman arm to the top of the hub and the whole hub dropped. Luckily no fingers or toes were in the way.

Have to run the tractor a while to see if it will leak or not......

told you...............;) You will now have much more confidence to deal with other repairs as the need arises.

Now that I have 30 or so hours on my tractor, I notice the front axle knuckle is starting to loosen up. I will need to go back and readjust my clearances. Keep an eye on yours less you break a gear from the misalignment.
