During plowing and disking I felt that is necessary to improve traction I and tractor stability on slopes. I have original front weights on my old tractor. As we don't use it for hard jobs, I was thinking to put existing front weights on new tractor.
Easiest way was make adapter plate for original weight holder, to keep possibility to use weights on both tractors. As I already have U shaped steel rail mounted on front end (for holding grill guard), I decided to bolt just L steel on it.
It is not painted yet, because rusty metal has similar color like dust from field /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Here is final result of few hours job.

Nice looking job there Z. What kind of tractor is it? What's tractoring like in Croatia? If you've been hanging around this board for long you've probably got a good idea of tractoring in the US. Care to provide some cultural enrichment for the rest of us /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like your logic behind not painting the bracket as it will look the same when dirty or clean. The wife and I used similar logic when picking out floor tile for the house we built a few years ago. We have 8 inside cats.. and decided to do tile through the whole house.. no carpet... as for the color.. we picked out a tile color scheme most similar to cat vomit... As we know they will...

Looks well done. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
You used gym weights or? Can you post side view, please?

Allmost forgot. These weights are 100 kg (220 lb I think) heavy.

RobS,
In attachment you can see both of our family (mine) tractors.
They are not compacts, they are SMALL and powerfull Ag tractors, so I concern them as compacts. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
On STORE tractor you can see my previous project/customization. It is front axle. When we bought this tractor new, it was 2WD. I added (1996) MFWD axle. I also made front fenders. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
SAME was bought last year. If you are more familiar with New Holland, this model has similar dimensions like TN, but lighter little bit.

Good looking tractors Z! Adding MFWD sounds like a large project but your results look perfect. I also noticed the barn in the background. Is that brick construction? Very unusual around here, most everything is wood and/or metal these days.

Do you raise crops or livestock or both? Thanks for the information, and welcome to the forum /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hello Rob,
Thanks. It was not too big project. Just disassemble complete gearbox, up to last screw, put some new gears (teethwheels) inside, manufaacture some missing parts...Only need to add power steering.
Yes, barn has concrete basement and poles. Walls are from brick. This is usual way to make houses and barns here. Roof is made from wood, covered with tile.
Yes, we raise corn, oats, wheat, barley...and have turkeys, hens, pigs.
