Chains Front tire chains

Ok, looking to get a set of chains for the front tires on my BX.

Tire size is 18X8.50-10

I can find chains for a 18X8.50-8 but nothing for the 10" rim. The number after the - is the rim size. My question is would the chains for the 18X8.50-8 fit? I would assume they would accept there may be some extra chain due to the shorter side wall on the 10" rim.

Thoughts folks or does anyone know where to get the chains for the 10" rims or can the 8's be modified, take a few links out? Thats an awful lot of links to remove on a set of 2-link chains.

Tom, You might want to try tirechain.com. They have a section in their website for people who can't find the size chain they need. Type in the dimensions and email them... or it might just be easier to call them.

Thanks, actually sent them an e-mail asking what size I needed. Their reply was the 18X8.50-8's will work fine and that the rim size did not affect the chain size.
