I still have the Boss lift cylinder plumbed into the original system

Eventually I plan to fab up a frame/sub frame mount for the plow and operate both the side-to-side and lift cylinders with the loader controller. With the loader detached, of course. I'm mostly just interested in doing this just because I have extra Boss bush beam parts from my old plow truck and think it would be an interesting project to try.

Now that some time has passed, how has that subframe mount panned out? I am starting to get the parts around to do this job and wonder if there are any shockers that you ran into.

Has anyone out there mounted a Boss snowplow to a loader. I have a Boss Sportplow 7 1/2 ft. I lost the truck in an accident so now the plow just sits there. Bought a Frontier SB1164 because I use the loader all winter. Was wondering if anyone made or bought a quick attach for the plow. It obviously has the mount for the truck but I think I could make it work.

The plow is a little narrow but mounting it wouldn't be a big deal. Do you want to mount it on the tractor or loader? Doesn't matter which. Can you weld?

Your "float" is built into the plow frame. If a loader, then get a blank SSQA plate and three-point weld your lower hook mounts on ears with a through bolt so the plow can float. The ears get welded to the lower part of the SSQA plate. Your lift link (chain and cylinder) get mounted to ears with through bolts and those ears get welded to the top of the SSQA plate. Wire accordingly.

Nice. I was going to do the loader frame mounted style too, but I recently saw where Fisher was making a tractor side mount for the John Deere 2xxx, 3xxx, and 4xxx series tractors. I like the frame mounted solution better. it is more compact, and you don't have to worry about chaining and keeping the loader out of float. I'll probably end up making my frame mount too. the price is pretty staggering to purchase the mount.
