Some do...Wow, that was certainly quite the project. I always wondered why compact and utility sized tractors did not have front lockers or limited slip.
This is for the front, which does have a limited slip, but it’s very easily overcome. And the reason it’s easily overcome is because of this cone/spring washer in the second picture. The ”springiness” in that little cone is the only force that applies those friction discs. What I installed is more like a mini Detroit Locker, which replaces the clutch pack and spider gears shown.What does this do that the standard rear diff lock doesn't do?
