Front end snowblower conversion

Very nice work. I like how tightly you packaged that hydraulic motor in next to the gearbox. I've started on a somewhat similar project around a rotary broom. It's posted over in the Build It Yourself subforum here, if you are curious. I'm still in very early stages of getting the tractor set up for a PTO pump. I used the mid PTO and will put the pump on the front of the tractor, along with everything else.

The chute runs off the tractor hydraulics... just had to make four longer 3/8” hoses.

In the past I would run the tractor around 2000rpms to really blow the snow.
This is the tach study I did using the hydraulic system/ motor.

I an running 16 teeth on the hyd motor and 15 teeth on the snowblower gear box.

notice the 2000 rpm range...right on the money without over revving the gearbox or hyd motor

How do you handle chute rotation and deflection

I use the existing tractors hydraulics...I just had to make up four longer hoses

I've always been curious how you power these things from the rear. Do they make a long PTO shaft with special ends?

I could be my imagination or the camera angle but to me it looks like your sprockets aren't lined up. The bottom one is in more than the top one.
