I am unable to get SAE 90 gear oil in my location. What is the next best gear oil to use? I would prefer to change it out from hydraulic oil. The tractor is a CK3510. Thanks.

I also changed out the multi purpose tractor fluid for gear oil in my last 2 tractors. It's not a lot of fluid, why not just order it from Amazon or other mail order type company?

Why?? I could see it if you were operating in the Deep South and using it hard, but you're near the Tundra.

From what I have read, it’s better for the seals in the axle.

You're saying absolutely NO 80w90 gear oil in your area?
I’m sorry I wrote it wrong. My book says to replace it with SAE 90 gear oil. I can get 75w90 and 80w90 but not SAE 90. Which would be the best? The 75 or the 80 weight. I’m in a colder climate but no extreme cold.

It would take a couple weeks for me to get it from Amazon. I was hoping to get it done this weekend. Living on a island has its drawbacks.

I used 80-90w in my RX, that should also be fine for you.

A gear oil without a winter rating will be hard to find. 75w90 is a 90 weight gear oil. The 75w "winter" simply means that it will thicken less than say an 80w.
Summary ;
75w90 and 80w90 are both 90 weight gear oils.
75w90 gear oil will thicken less when cold than the 80w90 oil.
