Front axle plug on 7510HST

I’m trying to check the case fluid on my front axle. There’s a plastic plug on the left side. I’m afraid of forcing it out. I’ve tried to rotate it. It doesn’t seem like it screws in. However, I can’t manage to pull it out and I don’t want to use a tool to leverage it and risk breaking it.

Have people experienced, similar problems or have any suggestions?

That is the breather. You need to consult a shop manual for the correct level plug.

Try a little penetrating oil, the level check gauge has an o-ring seal and just pulls out. Depending on how cold it is where you keep it, warming it up to room temp would help as well. My B26 was also a bear to get out the first time - it was clear the o-ring never got any lube from the factory. Shoot a little WD at the plug to case interface and work the head of the gauge to help the oil find the o-ring. Pliers may be needed. After getting the gauge out, wipe off any wd off and put some axle oil back on the o-ring before re-installing. Messick's B7510 Parts has a pic of the fluid gauge.
