My BX 1500 has a leak at one of the front axle pivot seals. Searched the forums on this and not sure replacing it is something I want to tackle. I checked with the dealer where I bought it and they quoted a price of $400-$500 for replacing both front seals( I asked for an estimate for both since if one is leaking the other can't be far behind). I thought that was a little much, what do you all think? Oh and that price was me delivering and picking up the tractor. I had already switched the fluid from super udt to 80-90 gear oil in the winter when it first started to leak. It stopped back then, but the other day I noticed a couple drops on the garage floor after I had been using the tractor with the 4wd engaged. It's not leaking bad at this point, but unfortunately leaks never get better. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
