Front Axle 755fwd

Recently I was pulling out a couple of stumps,good news is I got the stumps out! Bad news I heard a pop in front axle,left front wheel started dragging.I was wondering what part of axle to disassemble first?Can't complain about the tractor had it for over 12 years with no major problems. I've got exploded view of axle just need to know where to start?I've got to be the one to fix it fairly mechanically inclined.Thanks Bob

The bolts that attach the ring gear seem to be the weak spot in that Diff. Pop the pumpkin cover and take a look. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

Well,I disassembled front axle,Couldn't find nothing no metal, no teeth knocked off, tore down both sides,pinion*ring gears looked good! Went back to look over left side axle. (seated on tractor left) Stuck axle in and turned it would turn a little then lock up . Disasembled outer an inner housing could see problem About three teeth knocked off! Qustion is this pressed in? Thanks Bob
