Foton 404

I just bought a Foton 404 with the SL3105BT engine. This site has been great showing tricks to help with the tractor. I have changed all the fluids in the tractor except the oil in the injector pump. I found on an old page that you fill it by removing the little mushroom shaped thing on the top of the pump. I tried turning it and pulling up on it, but I could not get it to come off. How do you remove this vent to fill the pump?

If it is like some other chinese tractors it unscrews and a narrow wrench under the bell shaped top will unscrew it .

On my tractor the mushroom shaped vent is screwed into the top of the pump housing. In my case a 9/16" size wrench does the trick. Other pumps might vary of course, but thought I would mention it.
There should be a drain in the bottom of that pump casing to drain out the old oil. Again, on my tractor, the drain is a small bolt with a 10mm AF head. Small wrench size 10mm does the job nicely.

Yeah, the mushroom shaped thing on the top is the fill vent. There should be a small drain plug on the bottom, roughly opposite the fill/vent. There's another on the rear facing end. Remove fill/vent and both plugs, drain, replace bottom plug. Pour in fresh oil through the fill/vent until it runs out the side drain. Replace side plug, replace fill vent. Done.

it is how the others have stated however I would add that I was unable to remove my lowest drain plug due to interference with hard points. so I used a syringe and a small flexible fuel tube I had laying around from a chainsaw tank rebuild to finish sucking the fluid out of the bottom of the aft half of the pump.
