Forward Creep

When I let off the GO pedal, my new 2230 creeps forward ever so slowly. I'm talking about on the level garage floor, so it isn't drifting downhill or anything. Shouldn't be doing that should it?

Where do I adjust that? Looked all thru all the manuals and couldn't find anything on it.

Thanks Junkman. Sorry, I should have done a search first.

Anyhow, what I read after a search is NOT what I needed to hear. The reason I just laid out over 12 grand is my old Cub Cadet was doing this same thing, and getting hard to control as well as dangerous.

I can't believe Kubota hasn't fixed something this dangerous and widespread yet...in spite of bringing out a supposedly new and improved model, the BX 2230.

Don't relish the thought of taking it back to the dealer either. My experience is that while doing something as major as this appears to be, they usually screw up 6 other things in the process.

On another note, it seems like all I have been doing since I got this new tractor is bashing it. I did finally get to do some mowing over the past weekend, and it did a GREAT job! Cut my mowing time down from 8 hours to 3, and it looked better when I was done too. After adjusting the deck, the scalping problem all but disappeared. (Maybe my Son had it set too low when he mowed the first time too, I don't know.) Anyhow, it is working great now.

Make sure the pedal is not sticking first. The only other adjustment is setting the position of "hydrostatic neutral". This basically makes a fine adjustment of the swash plate to ensure it is in the neutral position. I believe the adjustment procedure should be your manual. If not get the dealer to copy you that page out of the service manual.
