Hey All,

So, I did removed the muffler on my 186F due to it being restrictive at the outlet at the head. I welded up a pipe and stuck it on there. Runs better now but its deafening. I need some sort of a muffler.

Anyone ever replace a muffler with something other than OEM?

Just order something off eBay or go to tractor supply. A small muffler off like a international cub or some small zt lawnmower should work.

Thats what I was thinking but then again thinking restriction. Just looking for ideas....

Hello too all !
I am new here and from Sweden.
I have a Chines 186f with electric starter
and a 230/400V 3-phase generator. It has a remote
start that has faild. (yes, new battery in sender)
I found a new used sender/reciver but it not works as suppose to.

First I would be happy to find a electrical drawing for my motor/generator, and a source where to buy a new remote that fits my generator.


The two recivers looks different inside, I will try to put up some
pics. It is the reciver with 4 relays inline that worked fine until it just died....
I have to be back with pictures later.
I hope that you understand my old school English !��

Hey Guys,

I've got a Titan 7500 D w/ the 186. Had a couple of questions that you might be able to help with:

1: Any suggestions on how to firmly pin down the engine and it's variants like A, AF, FE, etc.

2: The gen head failed after about 125 hours. (Exciter coil burned up.) The output shaft taper on the motor is a bit of an oddball and i can't seem to find a compatible gen head. (Most everything here is either J609 A -or- J609 B.) This one might be more accurately described as Chinese " Electrical Taper " ? Any leads on a 6KW gen head ?

Guys, I'm trying to replace the governor oil seal on my 186F. I took the speed control off to access it. There is a pin that looks like it needs to be popped out. The pin though is not budging. I've been hitting it with a hammer and punch but I do not want to hit it so hard I damage the fork. Any ideas/suggestions?... I am taking this off correctly right?

Looks like 1 pin secures it.
Support the arm as you tap the pin out to prevent damage.

Thanks, I looked up the pin # and it is a tapered pin so that helps a lot. I'll get back to it in another day or too.

While I ponder how to get my stuck taper pin out... Someone school me on the "Start of Delivery" method for timing a diesel.
