Flail Mower Ford 917 flail

I am looking at a 917 ford 74in flail mower. Does anyone have any idea how much it weighs. Was this made by ford or someone else and rebadged. I see Messicks has parts. Is there any drawbacks to this mower. Does the same hp per ft. for bush hoge apply to flails.

I like horsepower too! And you do normally need more horsepower on a flail compared to a rotary. Depending on the flail size and the diameter of cut capacity(which means heavier flails) will give higher horsepower needs for a flail.

The 917 I believe is a finish style but I'd still say to have 40 horse on it!
