I’m left with a Ford 555 digger (1975-1984). I don’t know where the transmission fluid opening is to add fluid. Please help.

If it has the torque converter (No Clutch) shuttle shift the transmission fill is just to the left of the gear shift lever under the floor
It should have a dip stick with markings attached to the threaded cap

ps. a 555 started production in late 1978 IIANM the 550 was built between 75-78 but the service manual covers both models , so very similar units.

While you're at it, just behind the transmission fill/check is the rear axle fill/check under an identical 2 bolt cover (if still there).
