Ford 5000 Lift issue after rebuild

Its just the one pump thats gear driven off the trans. I'm not getting flow to the remotes or the lift. I had a few bolts out of the top and I could see through and the fluid churns when the tractor is running. I havent been running it for long intervals. I'm not really sure how to check the hydraulic pump without pulling the top cover off to see if its sending fluid through the "gallery" some of the top cover bolts have been out for some time and water ended up in the fluid so I went ahead and drained it. Figured I'd start back with some fresh fluid when I pull the top cover. I'm going to take some pictures and upload them when I do that. Any tips/pointers?

I have not work on a 5000 ford lift. But if you put everything back correctly that pump should have pick that oil up and built pressure. Not priming has always been a fault on the suction side for me. And I’ll bet you put it back correctly. I have read that low pressure shop air can be introduced to the sump to push that oil in the pump to get it primed. Be careful not to add much pressure though. All that stuff on the suction side has got to be perfectly sealed, o rings and all. Good luck and have fun with it

Just in case someone else is reading this in 10 years trying to troubleshoot their machine. Here is a short video of someone explaining of the "gallery" or channel where your hydraulic pump flows. You can also follow his advice on the low tech bucket flow test. Will need the top lid off for this.

Pump works! Excuse the quality of rhe fluid I had some oil i thought was clean I had added after washing out the case with diesel. It had some junk in the bottom of the pail, it will be changed. Tried to upload video but it wouldn't attach.
