I've heard this was a good thing to do for sure. I am somewhat confident that's blocked up because I have a hard time filling the tractor to capacity with coolant. It always seems a couple quarts short.

(And sorry for the cross-posting) I ordered a brand new radiator, water pump, hoses, etc. Hopefully by this weekend I'll have them installed, and the block flushed. Is it worth getting a compression tester from auto-zone to check for a cracked head?
