Tractor
Kubota B2601
I have the opportunity to purchase a 1994 Ford 3930 with a loader. I have brought the tractor home, and have been using it to do some bushhogging around my place. The tractor seems to run well, but need some cosmetics (a new seat and paint).

The tractor is $6500 from a friend of mine. I'm curious if that is a fair price (in general) for a good running 3930 with a loader. The loader can be removed pretty quickly.

JUMP ON IT!!! Especially with the prices tractors are going for now. That's a good tractor.

Agree with all above,
Very Good, tough, Long lived tractors with decent aftermarket parts support.
Price sounds fair as well. If it is MFWD you are Outright stealing it! :)

100% agree with the rest also, if that tractor had at least decent maintenance and wasn’t abused you can’t go wrong at that price. My testimonial; I bought a 1990 2wd 4830 new , Johnny stocker 8 speed synchromesh transmission, only options I added was wheel weights and dual remote hydraulics out the back. Tractor now has around 2400hrs . It’s my main transport tractor hauling 2000lb cherry tanks full of fruit and water on the 3pt hitch. Probably hauled ballpark of 15 million lbs over the 33years I’ve owned. Also gets used pulling 12 ft batwing mower , runs my 100gallon 3pt weedsprayer every year , occasionally runs a 74” rototiller and various other tasks. It’s been worked but I have been good at preventative maintenance mainly oil changes and greasing.
My repairs so far since new , had the alternator rebuilt once, replaced the Lucas starter once and put new seals in the 3pt lift ram once. Just a simple easy to drive stone cold reliable old school tractor. Just put it’s first new rear tires on it this year. One of the best investments I ever made in a tractor.

I miss my 3930; great tractor. I sold it for around $12k . The buyer said it would be the third one he owns; which should tell you a lot.

Another vote here for pulling the trigger. I Have a 1982 Ford 26,10 which is a smaller version of what you are talking about. It is a durable workhorse. I paid $12,000 for it five years ago. ( price included a trailer, brush, hog, and spreader.). It has been virtually problem free. I have only replaced the battery, a power, steering line and a power steering cylinder. That’s it. It always starts and it always runs and it always works. Mine is diesel by the way.
