Ford 3910 3pty linkage lifting problems.

Hi guys.

My 3910 3pt linkage has been progressively getting worse at lifting weight. It seems to work fine with no weight but as soon as I try and lift a round bale, it can't lift it. It slowly got worse and worse until it won't lift it at all. I topped up the fluid so it's full and it didn't make a difference.

Any ideas?

To the forum from Alabama, USA. Did you check the PSI? It may be your pump.

Or: System Relief Valve fault, lift cylinder leak, or even control valve spool leakage, etc. There are a lot of possibilities. When you raise the control lever do you hear any noise? Does the engine rpm change? Do you notice anything else at all that has changed?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have not checked the PSI. I don't hear a noise or notice any other changes. One thing I have noticed is that the hotter the tractor gets, the worse it gets. If I wait until the next day after the tractor has cooled down, it works ok again......
