Ford 2000 diesel

Ok guys I'm new to this but need some help. My ford 2000 needs an engine rebuild. I see rebuild kits with sleeves and some without. I have guys telling me it has sleeves and some tell me that it doesn't. So do I buy a kit with sleeves or not? If it doesn't have sleeves what do I need to do to put sleeves in it?

If yours did not have sleeves, buy the kit for engines without sleeves. It looks to me that there were four engines, two diesel and two gasoline, offered for the ford 2000. I got that from tractordata.com. To put sleeves into a non sleeved engine, it will take a lot of boring, and running the risk of creating all sorts of problems. Use your serial number, probably your engine serial number, to find out what engine is in your tractor and the correct rebuild kit.
