Ford 1700

I just got my 1700 back together and now it boges down when I go in to the top gear of the trans and when I us the pro and hit a big clump of grass is it the injector or injection pump

Kinda hard to tell from here.. do you have a video you could post?
What fuel system is on that engine.. 3 diff. ones.. got any pictures?
The timing is critical on any of the systems.. are you experienced in inj. pump to engine timing??
How about setting the valves?? is this your first engine rebuild?
"rebuilding" an engine is only half the job..
Not getting the pump or injectors done/checked is like taking a shower & putting on dirty socks & underwear afterwards..

The timing on the engine is right it just when I take off in the high gears that when the tractor start to chuck and throw black smoke an it down on power but then it will clear up but if it feels any kind of load up hill or using the pro mowing it starts to chuck again

High gear is too much for the task. Did you use high gear "before"?
