We just put a new head gasket on a Ford 1210 and cannot get it to restart, we never messed with anything else, and I was told to adjust them to 8mm however I cannot find any sequence, as far as TDC or where the cam should be adjusted. Anyone got the answer...???

I Think you are talking about valve clearance. If so then the cam does not get adjusted. If you have the piston near Top Dead Center (TDC) and both valves closed, you are ready to adjust the valve clearance. The I&T manual does show your valve clearance at .008 inch (.20 MM) engine cold. Feeler gauge should only have a slight drag when set correctly. Use screw adjuster at other end of rocker arm and remember to tighten jam nut after adjustment.
