Ford 1210 diesel

Within 2 hours after the oil is changed,the tan colored new oil turns very dark ,almost black.
What causes this??

Did you change the filter too? There's a lot of dirty oil in the filter.

How long has it been since the last change? Could be dirty sludge in the bottom of the oil pan.

I always change the filter with the oil.

Our old 1100 is the same way and has been since new. Don't know why.

I suppose it is the old diesel engine technology. My 1700 does not burn any oil, very good compression and power, noting wrong with head gaskit, no mixing of anti-freeze and oil and yet after 5 to 6 hrs engine oil gets dark. Now, I use Rotella for engine oil and not NH brand and saying that never had any issues either. I also change and filter faster than I should at every 50 hrs. Conversely, I use kubota oil for my MX-4700 and at first 50 hr of service the oil looked pristine to the point I saved it in a gallon jug and just use it for my oiler thingy and oil up joints and stuff with. I think it is the oil but more so engine technology.

Hi man I have a ford deiseal 1210 , I want to put a loader on mine , do you have any pictures of where the hoses are attached to ? I have the Manuel I can send you a copy of it . Where do I attaches the hoses , it is the hydraulic manifold block near the breaks ? Any picture would help thank you

I don't know why the oil is black If you changed the oil it should be fine just change the filter , it should be fine
