There's starting to be more stuff out there for CUTs all the time. Almost like it's being taken seriously by the manufacturers. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif At least those in Europe. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Single-row, forage harvesters used to be sold here in the northeast for small operations. They were never very popular. I'd bet that there are plenty rusting away in back corners of equipment sheds or on dealer lots in the northeast. Try looking on Fastline.com or ironsearch.com.

I thought that forage harverters required about 30-40 hp. per row. At 27 hp., I'm sure you would have to grab a lower gear. Hey, I could be wrong because newer tractor engines could be torquier.

Not to mention today's hybrid corn. I've seen some corn around here that almost block out a combine. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I know those old one-row harvesters weren't very popular...I've never seen one here in Texas. Around here, everything seems to be "bigger is better" - whether it makes sense or not. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
