I'm thinking about buying a B7510. The space I've got for it to live in--underneath a shed--is pretty small. Anybody know what the height is of a B7510 with the ROPS folded down? And how hard is it to fold down the ROPS? Is it something I'll want to do when it's ten below out and the coffee's on?

Thanks,
Jim

Jim: My 7800 may be an inch or two higher than the 7510 but assuming that the hinge is at about the same point on the ROPS, the height of mine, w/ROPS folded is probably about 5 1/2'. If you need a precise height, let me know and I will measure tonight and post it.

I have to fold the ROPS in order to get the tractor into its temporary home; my workshop/garage. Folding is pretty stiff (my dealer says that it will loosen up a bit over time) but not all that difficult. You take out two "hairpins" and unscrew two bolts before folding down. ....takes no more than a couple of minutes and is no real hassle to do when taking the tractor out and putting it away. I do it while the tractor is warming up at start, and idling prior to shutoff before putting away.

Hope this helps.

ill second that...i use the few minutes putting it up and taking it down for the tractor to warm up/cool down...it isnt a big deal to do.

one thing to consider also, i believe you need a folding rops to be able to add a backhoe. (someday that may matter for you)

i can get you an exact measurement from my 7610 if you want. just holler.

The folding ROPS on my 7800 isn't that bad to raise and lower but more of an inconvenience. I greased mine a little and ran the bolts in and out a few times with a wrench to loosen them up a little. When I build my garage I will make sure it is tall enough that I do not have to lower the ROPS because sometimes it is tempting to leave it down if you are doing a small chore, but very unsafe to leave it down.

66-67" with turfs on the 7610 when folded. (depending if you fold it down halfway or all the way there is about an inch difference)
