For my Warfighter friends, I'll stop with this one. Spend some time on this one, it's worth it.

Ok, What are they looking at? The guy on the right looks like he is saying Fudge except he did not say Fudge.
Assuming the view was not pleasant.
Good photos by the way.

My nephew is in special forces called night stalkers and drives a chinook. I wish he flew something faster. He's been at it going on 5 years now over in the Middle East. Amazing young man. He's stationed in Washington state and I see him when he comes home a couple times a year to Wyoming. It's always a pleasure and an honor to visit with him.
I agree, nice pix, Richard. I have never gotten a ride in a Huey. CalFire operates one near
where I live, tho it is red and white, and carries a water bucket.
The huey has a distinctive sound. Can usually identify them before they are in sight. When riding the first time you'll think it is going to beat itself to death, tremendous vibration and violent prop.
The later Blackhawks are much smoother. But just not the same.![]()
I think they changed them now they have four rotors instead of the two big wide ones. They are supposed to be a lot quieter but I haven't seen or heard one yet.
Much less vibration. Less wop, wop, wop sound. Can't hear them coming as far away. Much smoother ride. I've got some good video aboard a Blackhawk. I'll try to figure out how to post it.
