Floor mat for Kubota MX5200

Got tired of the slipperiness of the bare steel floor on my MX5200, so decided to make a floor mat from it. I got a 3'x4' by 3/4" mat from Tractor Supply, and used a cardboard template and then an oscillating tool and router with spiral upcut bit to fit it. Here are the results:

My B7800 has gone through 3 floor mats due to the brutal desert sun. I bought a can of Herculiner ($26) truck bed liner and painted it on the bare desk. Ended up with a nice non slip finish and enough left over for 2 or 3 more coats.

Did the router or the multitool cut better?

The multitool definitely cut faster and cleaner, the router was necessary for the non-through cuts like the recess under the pedal for clearance. No burning or smoke with the router, but made a pretty good mess of black shavings.

Did the mat make any difference with HST pedal travel ?

Because it was so thick, it did limit HST pedal travel until I cut out a recess under the pedal to allow it to tilt fully forward/backward.
