Float Valve

My Zetor is supposed to have a float valve (described in the owner's manual and verified by the previous owner). The lever does not detent when pushed forward. Do I need to adjust cables or just clean up the connections?

Under the bottom of the valve, there should be some caps/covers, covering the ends of the spool. Carefully remove them , inspect, clean, and lube. There is probably rust in and around the groove the balls set.

There are balls and springs under there, don't lose them.

Thank you sir, I will give that a shot when I build up enough courage to lie in the cold snow under the beast. Wish I had a taller barn door. Appreciate the warning about the jack in the box. You must have seen me work before.
