Hi guys/gals.

I am building (trying to anyway) a rock picker to pull behind my Kubota m6030. I have a blade that I have attached to the 3pt in order to raise and lower it into the ground to set my depth before the dirt/rock are taken up a conveyor belt to separate the material. My problem is that it keeps raising out of the ground when I need it to stay in in order to move the material up the blade and onto the conveyor. All of the writing on my controls are too faded to read. I want to set it to stay in the ground and not float up. Any ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to TBN Ben:D

Your 3PH does not have downpressure, very few tractors do...the best option is to add weight to the implement to keep it down, or change the angle of the blade so it bites better.

Thanks for your response. It digs in good, goes down, but as soon as it fills with almost enough dirt to push it up, the hydraulics raise up themselves. So the angle should be fine, so just add weight? Thanks

The hydraulics do not make it raise up...You can unhook everything from the hitch, lower it all the way and raise the arms by hand-there is nothing that holds them down other than gravity/weight.

Can you post pictures? Maybe we can help better if we see it.

Sounds like it may be your draft control if your tractor is so equiped. On my 00 series M it is the lever right next to the 3 pt control, make sure it is pushed all the way down for it not to raise the 3 pt when you load it up.

Good call Dave, I had forgot about the possibility that his machine may have draft control.
