Float getting stuck

Ok ive been trying to figure this out for a while. I have a cub cadet 1811 and every now and then it sputters and i finally figured out it is the float getting stuck....what is the proper repair for this? is it a carb rebuild kit? or can i just get a new float pin? thanks Don

I was working on a B&S recently and I had to push and pull the float pin in and out until it worked free. Then I did the same on float so there was no binding. That fixed the flooding but there was more crud in the pilot tube that a few hours of soaking in lacquer thinner softened and cleaned.

Possibly dirt in the needle & seat?

absoulutly it could be dirt, also does he use stabilizer off season,could be getting all gummed up,but i would start by spraying a little carb cleaner in it.
theres also other options depending more on the details of the care given to the tractor.keep bringing them
