Is there any reason I can't pull the rear wheels on my F24 and flip them to get a little wider track? The way the wheels are made, it looks like turning them "inside out" would widen their stance maybe 8 or 10 inches, which would be nice. Tractor is tipsy and the treads are constantly smacking the two lower arms on the 3-point setup.

Go for it...a lot of dealers keep them narrow for extra room on their lots...be careful if they are liquid filled...!

Check your manual. They may be different options for how you can space your wheels out. My Kubota has about 6 settings depending on how the dish was set as well as the bolt pattern. You also want to keep your tread facing the right way.

If they are R4s you may want to switch side to side so the pattern is correct.

Same thing with R-1 tires...R-4 and R-1 are both uni-directional.
R-3 turfs, no problem...just reverse (flip) 'em!

Don't worry even if you have Original Rice Patty Rears. My Ym2000 Original Rears have been reversed for over 8yrs. that I know of without a problem. May have been longer. That is just how long I've owned it and they were reversed when I bought it. The extra width surely makes a difference. Never heard of anyone putting them back after reversing them.

I did that on my little Iseki and it made quite a bit of improvement in stability. I want to say the hubs were tapered from both sides.

NOt an issue the left tire just becomes the right tire.

That would be better than having two left tires. :D
just to to continue the wise ache'r remarks...When I go to 'Hooters' I insist on all right wings...no lefts...:D

I was thinking of rotating front to back but it would just not look right.

I "put mine back" if you mean to a narrower setting, otherwise I couldn't get it on my trailer.

If the wheel is separate from the rim you should be able to flip it to the other side of the tire and keep the same tread pattern.. you can also put the middle of one side on the opposite side tire to go to the furthest width.. all depending on if its in the most narrow setting

On a Kubota Right? Because if it's a Yanmar that must be a small trailer then. I sold my dove tail 3200Lb Dual Axle and took a trade of a Single 3200Lb. 12x6 and $ and have a Ft. on each side. And that's with my Tires Rev. to the widest position. Witch is 4'1" with Org. Rice Patty rears.

Rims are set, there is no flipping the inners. But if you take your left tire and put it on the right and vice versa the tread pattern will stay in the same direction vs having it face the wrong direction if you were to simple take each tire off and flip them and reinstall them backwards from how they are now, that would make the tread go the "wrong" way.

Think about what your doing and how the wheels will be on the tractor in each case.

Yea i think you can easy fit a ym2000 size tractor at widest setting on a 5 foot trailer. I think it would be just a tad to small on my 4x8 trailer to drive it on...let alone it couldnt take the weight really.

Yes, that was on my M4700, the tires were at 80 plus inches, way to wide for my trailer, which is 78" between the fenders. But I bought the trailer w/ my B7610 in 2009, 4 years BEFORE I bought the M4700.

Yeah, but there's a lot more work involved in that...plus, most R-4s use a welded wheel/rim now and I've never seen an adjustable rim used on an R-3.
I reversed the wheels on my Deere 4400 for more clearance for chains...worked great. My current 4520 rear wheels are already set wide.

not much work at all really unless your messing with loaded tires:shocked:.. all of ours will flip that are full size tractors.. the compacts are fixed though
