I had a weird thing happen today. The 2310 was parked outside when I saw the signal lights start to flash. I went out and they stopped. They started to flash again and then start to alternate. I could hear the flasher making all kinds of weird sounds and the switch is in the off position. Any suggestions  ?

More info please. Engine running? Flashers turned on? Ignition switch in on position?

Motor off, ignition off, lights off, flashers switch off. I just got done washing it and I thought maybe the flasher got wet. I just went out and tried it and it is all fine now after it dried for about 3 hours.

If you just washed it, or was in a driving rain there may be water in the light switch, or the connection to the wiring harness. It's a pretty common occurrence . Disconnect the plug from the wiring harness and apply some dielectric grease to the connectors.

Always remember Rule #3562
If you do something, and soon after that something undesirable happens, undo what you did first. (i.e. dry it out and try it).

Glad that worked.

3 hours lucky you it took 3 days or more to dry out the switch on my BX23 after washing the tractor.
The 2310 and BX23 probably use the same switch.

My freightliner does the same thing,in a heavy rain the clearance lights come on. I had to make a cover for fuse box, the rain dripping thru the roof lights onto windshield inside the cab would drip into the circuit breakers in fuse box. plowking
