New member so if this has already been discussed let me know, recently converted a Tiger flail mower to quick attach to my skid steer, would like to install a better performing hyd.motor. I have two high flow machines one is around 20gpm and the other runs in the low 30's. This flail was designed with a 44gpm pump running at 2000rpm or so. Thanks for any input

Welcome to the forum,

The only way you will be able to do
this is with a vane motor.

The issue is one of motor mounting.

You will need to match the mounting
plate with the hydraulic motor face plate.

If you are using a gear motor zero issues-but
if you are using a geroller...................., some
machining will need to be done.

The vane motor will also be able to reverse
direction for you as needed.

I can recommend the Vickers brand vane motors
very highly as they wil have high torque
which is needed for a hydraulic driven flail mower.

Thanks for the input, will look into Vickers. The flail is a 75" cutting width with 45 sets of blades, so you are correct about needing torque.
