David, are those hammer blades(like bomford)? And do they destroy everything?
Flatheadyoungin, got a press in fitting, but it will not take grease? Might have to take it apart
I just came across this discussion. Over the past weekend I was working on my mower. I have a Mott Model 72.
The belt is a C54 7/8 across the top, 17/32 deep, and 58 circumference.
I think the grease fitting is a 1/4" - 28. Just drill and use a screw tap.
I need blades. Standard duty are 0.106 thick($0.65), Heavy duty 0.130 thick ($0.79), Extreme duty 0.192 ($1.03) and forged 0.196 ($1.40).
What is the difference in the forged blades and are they worth the extra money?
where did you get a press in fitting? did you just use a soft faced hammer to drive it in?
