Yep. I have about 10 hours on the tractor now. I haven't used the rotary cutter, but have used the tiller on about an acre. It tilled fine with a 4-6" depth, the tractor bogged down slightly when I got into an area that was still a little wet, but even that just required a slight let up on the pedal.any follow up from the op? would be curious of his thoughts now that he has made his purchase?
The FEL controls are not in a very ergonomic position, they are much better on the R models. It's not a big deal for me, but if I was running the FEL for a couple hours at a time, I think the position would start to hurt. The FEL doesn't take quite as big of a load as I hoped, but it is adequate. It can pick up about a half bucket load of gravel without any problem, but if you try to get much more than that it has a tendency to run out of curl power when you are trying to initially pull it out of the pile. I used it to pull my tree setter off the back of my pickup this morning and it did great. Just for reference, I did not have the height to strap the setter to the FEL and lift it, I had to pick up the end with the bucket and drag it off the tailgate.
My wife finds it very easy and enjoyable to operate and that's a big plus. It means she wants to go out and do all the tractor work and I can get other things done. The hydrostat is a big contributor to that.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. While a little taller tractor, or a little more power would be nice to have, I do feel like with the discounts, I got a really good value for my money. I think I said this in an earlier post, but since I got the previous model year, they gave me 4k off list so I paid 26k for the tractor and FEL.
