First real day on new BX25D... need encouragement!

I've owned my BX25 for 5 years now, and I'm always learning something new. Practice does make perfect. Regarding loader work, I would recommend the float mode. If you aren't using it, you should in some cases. Also regarding loading the rear tires, your manual recommends against it if you are running with the backhoe on.
Good luck with the new BX.
I used mine at my church today and stopped at the local gas station to fuel up.

Thank you Grandad... jeez, that sounds funny, but I heed your advice. I am the patriarch in my family now as my fathers have moved on. Miss them.

Yes, I was a bit disappointed with the FEL 'out of the box' and definitely noticed how lower revs will make that a little more smooth. I am not trying to do too much but the jerkiness is not fun.

I was definitely thinking about a tooth bar after seeing the many accessories available. Any advice on brand? How easy to install? Are we talking about drilling holes, welding? I have only briefly looked at one... Piranha tooth bar from BXpanded. I would be using only for dirt work, gravel, etc. no brush. That was taken care by the excavation work I had done. On the other hand, if I don't figure out how to manage the slope, the brush and maples will be back! Photo is looking down from my deck. Steeper than it appears.

Wow what a view! Beautiful!!!!!

Okay Day 2! Put about 5 hrs on for a total of 8. Feeling much, much, better. :) Mainly used the BH to begin cutting in a small road/path to get down to the lower parts of our property. One thing I am pretty sure I need and soon is a tooth bar!
Here are some pics as promised of the slope that I am dealing with and the beginnings of my path. :cool2:

That's a great pic - how far did you actually have to drive the tractor to get to the gas station?

The church was about 2 miles from my house; the gas station is about 1 mile.

This is a small world.
I'm right between you two guys, on the south side of PO off of Long Lake.

I've a nearly brand new set of BX turf tires/wheels that I'll not need (I bought them sight unseen being told they were for a B6000) if you guys ever want to do some trading.

You know... I'm just assuming these are for a BX.... maybe you can compare them to yours.

Hey Stokes, I am right down the road from you on Olalla Valley, just before you get to the ball park on the left, place just logged off last year. Turf tires won't help me any. My BX 25 tires are 26 X 12 rear & 18 X 8.5 front, that's factory spec. Maybe the turfs are smaller dia. I wish for AG tread to get better traction. If I find some AGs that fit I may be interested in the wheels. I use a riding mower for the lawns. The bolts look like the right spacing. I just met Dragon for lunch today. Come on down for coffee, it's always on in the morning. We can make a threesome some day for lunch. My owners manual lists a AG/Bar tire but the dealers say there is no such thing. The Parts Manual does not have AGs either.
