I guess this might be more appropriate for the build it forum, but I did my first mod today. I added a hitch to the back of the box. Don't know if that was a bad idea for some reason, but it works great. Just bent up some 7/16 thick steel and drilled some holes. If I had a 4"x4" angle it would have come out nicer. Very useful. I just couldn't see buying a dedicated hitch for a couple of hundred and then having to drop the box to use it. My box is pretty beefy. I don't know if a cheaper scraper would be okay for this. my back wall is 1/4" and the brace is 2x2".

Not a bad idea! From the picture it looks like it might need some bracing on the underside if the tongue weight is significant.

So far, seems fine for what I use it for. I'm keeping an eye on it. Mainly I did it to move the trailer around the yard. I wouldn't use it to move a load of rock. Just a lot faster than hooking up to the Escape.
