1. Clearly Permatran does not lubricate well at low temperatures. Thats why the 20 -30+ minute warm up! This should be obvious. They do not require this in manual transmissions.

We are not talking about manual transmissions. Few manual transmissions have hydraulic pumps. On a hydrostatic transmission the warm up is also for the flow of oil in the pumps and valving, not just lubrication of the gears. At low temps the hydrostatic drive can be ruined by the high pressure from the thick oil. The pour point of your oil is -47 degree F (about the same as all oils that meet the spec for the tractor) it still thickens at low temp like any other oil, and could cause a high pressure problem.

I am not afraid of the product. I have used synthetics in almost every thing with a motor for the last 20+ years. All oils have limits even yours and does not mean you should ignore the manufacturer's suggestions. Is 30 mins. excessive?, probably, but did you or I build the trans axle? They have to cover their butts. Like I said while it is under warranty follow the manual. I never said you can not use your product while under warranty since it meets (or equivalent). After the warranty it is your decision how you warm up your oil.

Once again I was making a point, and you missed it.

You seem to insist that synthetic oils are very similar to mineral oils in low temperatures. Synthetics are better without any doubt. Yet, you continue to to debate.
