When I reattach the 3 blades on my finishing mower, how should I position them? Is there any specific way they should be positioned so they spin best? Thanks!

Uh, horizontal? Not sure what you mean by position them.

I mean - should they all be positioned the same way, like front/back or one side to side, etc.?

I do, just out of habit, but I don't think it makes any difference.

You can line them up any way you want when you put them on. Some spin at different rates, others don't depending on your mower. They can't hit each other unless something breaks, and the lift you get from them is enough that the airflow around the blade tips doesn't affect the grass under the next blade. Be more concerned that all your baffles under the deck are in good shape, but even that is minor unless you're a lawn perfectionist. If you are, you probably want a reel type mower anyways. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Makes no difference as long as they are right side up. Since they are all belt driven each can slip independently of the others should they hit an immovable object.

I don't know about your 3030 mower, but the mower manual for my BX2230 (60-in MMM) specifies specific positioning for the blades. Can't remember exactly, but they're all off-kilter from each other. I have no idea why this would be, and it sounds like it might not matter anyway. But since it's in the manual that's how I do it.

Are you talking orientation or location? I have a Cadet 3 blade deck with two different size blades so location is important, but the direction they point with respect to each other is not. I would think if orientation was critical they would have a mounting system that allowed only one way to put them on.
