Find the snake

There is one snake in this picture(that I know of) he's after the gator (clue).
Find and identify the snake and win big prizes.

I don't think he is big enough to take the one! What snake is he/she, we don't have anything that looks like that in Kentucky that I have seen.

It's a banded water snake, looks like a moc, but it's a young snake and young moccasins have lots of markings, they don't get dark until they mature.
This is what we call a "water bandit".
