VERY nice work! Mine is a fairly light one made of angle iron & only adjusts the cutting angle with bolts. Yours is much heavier & the easy angle adjustment is pretty slick.

wushaw,

Excellent project!

I recently replaced 1 axle, 5 cutters, and 5 or 6 spools, and it nearly cost me as much as I paid for the disk harrow brand new. Although your disk is way better than a comparable bought one, it must have cost quite a bit more, right? Yours looks to have bearings instead of the spools, right?

A few observations from someone that's had a lot of trouble with disk harrows:

Grease, grease, grease. (assuming spools)

Butt welds on lower arm brackets will eventually give way.

The big axle nuts will try their best to loosen and destroy your axles.

Flat plate steel brackets holding the axles will flex back and forth. Gussets could make them stiff and quiet them down.

A good dog is worth more than a good tractor.
