Getting ready for first final drive oil change on my U27-4. Manual calls for 80W90. Local Kubota dealer only sells Amalie 85W140 and states that is what they use in all of the excavators they service.
Does this sound too thick of a viscosity? Just wondering. Get confused reading about Hypoid and limited slip gear oils. BTW, I live in CT, not too cold, not too hot.

I wouldnt be concerned about running that. If thats what the dealers suggest I would feel even better about it.

Imagine any oil weight is better then dirty low oil in the drives.
