AMEN!! on the caution. Don't think I'd want to risk that except maybe with HST, certainly not with a clutch. It looks like he got close to self-inflicted undercarriage damage by stick. Wonder if it helped that he talked like a goober?

I wanted to give everyone a quick update... I hadn't messed with the tractor anymore all winter. However, once the weather changed and the weeds started growing, the field looked pretty shabby. A friend brought his 4WD Kubota yesterday to give me a hand. We've been getting a lot of rain lately. By the time we made it half way thru the field, we decided it was too muddy to proceed. Unfortunately, as soon as we turned around we got stuck. 
We walked to where my tractor had been left for months chained to a tree. By this time, you couldn't see half of the rim and the bush hog was submerged with crawfish swimming on top of it. I fired her up and showed my friend how the front tires raised off the ground when in gear. He assured me it wouldn't overturn with the bush hog attached. I was still a little reluctant, but I continued anyway. The wheels eventually came back down after each rotation. My friend dug around both tires and we tried again. This time she inched forward slowly until we finally got free!
My friend unhooked the chains and we headed back. I wasn't sure whether I could make it thru the mire but she slowly marched forward. We eventually made it to his tractor and I pulled him free. I thank God at the end of the day, both tractors and operators made it home safely.

That actually worked well. It was safer than chaining the other way.
